First and foremost, I love the packaging. It's very sleek and I like the blue CD print behind the silver Dior logo. The only problem is that my fingerprints do stick =(.
The colors include: "peachy pink shimmer, opalescent pink, bronze shimmer, gold shimmer, and taupe sheen". The main reason I wanted this quint was the taupe color. I love me some taupes =D. I was kind of "eh" about the upper right color, which is the opalescent pink. It's too reminiscent of the color of Hourglass' primer, which I think is strange enough already. However, my boyfriend's sister told me that it makes a really pretty all over lid color. I'm thinking more along the lines of highlight....
And here's the main attraction, the swatches. Verdict? This palette was very disappointing =(. I noticed it was very sheer on my lids, but after [trying] to heavily swatch the colors, they appear sheer even on my arm! The colors provide a sheer wash of color on the lids, which is not what I was looking for. For the price, I had hoped that the colors would pack more pigment. This quint also has good reviews, and for the life of me, I can't fathom why. That aside, I will still use this when I want a minial makeup look. I've probably only used this twice since I bought it. Normally, I would choose to return a product like this, but I've been wanting this quad for so long, I can't let it go. I was considering trying another Dior quint (after swatching of course), but now I'm leaning more towards trying out a Chanel quad. The price point is pretty much the same.
I've heard a lot of people raving about this quint and other Dior ones. Do you have one? What do you think?
ooh this is SO pretty- perfect colors for a wintery/ neutral eye :)
ReplyDeleteEh, I think there are better quality eyeshadows for that price.
ReplyDeleteI love this quint~
ReplyDeletethe colours look lovely! however the quality is not so lovely, especially for the price you paid. >.<
ReplyDeleteI have the Dior "Stylish Move" quint and it is one of my favourite eye shadow palettes. Perfect for a purple smokey eye and the shadows are much more pigmented than this one.

I swatched a bunch of Dior quints at Sephora last time and I FELL IN LOVE. The pigmentation was awesome and the shadows were creamy. They make a ton of neutral palettes which is right up my alley but the price tag is stopping me from splurging :/ Sad that you don't like yours as much as you would have hoped :(
ReplyDeleteyeh thats fine! :)
ReplyDeleteemail me the products, and size then i'll work out the shipping fee to the us from it :)
