BareEscentuals Buxom Babes Flower Girls: Pout like you just don't care.
I'm taking this oppurtunity while my internet is slowly working to finally do a new blog post. The internet at my house hasn't been working for almost a week now! =( GRRRR.
Awhile back, I finally tried my first Buxom lipglosses. Talk about living under a rock right? I recieved the BareEscentuals Buxom Babes Flower Girls mini lipgloss kit in the mail, and instantly fell in love. It's on sale at Sephora right now for $18 but I was lucky enough to snag it directly from Bare Escentuals for $9. The only reason I bought it was because it was dirt cheap, I didn't care too much for the glosses themselves.
Each gloss is 2 ml each. The colors are Rosie, Lily, Iris, and Poppy
Dare I say I fell madly in love? All of the colors are excellent. Yes, even that Iris, the blue one(that's actually my favorite believe it or not). The formula is simply awesome. I'm not too fond of the sickenly sweet smell, but the minty tingle cooling effect that it leaves on my lips is great. I find that it does plump my lips, not a whole lot, but enough so I can see the difference. Although they are moisturizing, I make sure to apply lip balm before hand. And, aren't the names adorable? Flower girls... you gettttt it??? ;)
I'm sure you did.
Rosie is a really pretty light pink shade. Lily is a lilac-y pink. Iris is a cool blue. No, it does not leave your lips blue, it actually lightened the tone of my original lip color to a lighter pink. And Poppy is a pinky-coral. All very sheer wearable colors. Another upside? No shimmer of any sort. Now THAT'S what I like to see in my glosses (or lack of I mean).
Even though they're not available on the BareEscentuals site anymore, and it looks like they JUST sold out on Sephora.
But remember! It's that time of year again! Sephora Friends & Family just started, giving you a good 20% off the entire site with the code FF2010.
This post reminds me of a song.
You make me wanna POUT! Throw my hands up and POUT!
AY AY AY AY!
A little bit softer now!
A little bit louder now!
OK. I lied. That's not how the song REALLY goes ;).

September Favorites
I'm always a bit late with these Favorites posts aren't I? Well lucky for me, It's a gloomy Saturday and I decided to not go into work. THUS, finally some free time! I've been stuck in a rut routine for awhile, which has only gotten worse since school's started.
Urban Decay Eden Primer Potion: I've been using this everyday instead of the usual UDPP, probably because I think the formula is like 5X better. It's perfect for matte eyeshadows, and a little goes a long way. I must stress that last part, because if you use too much you'll have pale pastel yellow lids. Gross.
Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner in Zero: Not much to be said of one of everyone's all-time favorite liners. It glides easily, and doesn't tug. It's also very long lasting. I actually use this under my MAC fluidline in Blacktrack for extra staying power.
Loreal HIP eyeshadow duo in Shady: Perfect shadow combo when I don't have time to look though all my eyeshadows. The lighter shade goes all over the lid and the dark brown in the crease and the lower lashline. You know the drill.
MAC Gingerly blush: A perfect rusty peach shade. I've been trying to dip into my MAC blush stash for awhile because I feel so wasteful since I rarely wear blush. This applies to my cheeks very close to a peach bronzer for a nice warm look.
Benefit Hoola bronzer: I love matte bronzers but I don't own too many of them. I like Hoola because it looks very natural when I contour my cheeks, which is the only reason I use it. It's also a great shade, not too dark and not too light. The effect isn't muddy and looks great.
MAC Lustre drops in Sun Rush: I use this on top of my cheekbones for an extra glow. I use one drop for both cheeks, so I have barely even dipped into it! It's gonna last me forever and a day.
ELF Studio Powder brush: I've had this for awhile but never got around to using it. I know it gets many raves, and at first I didn't like using it as a foundation brush because the coverage was too heavy compared to using my stippling brushes. However, I've been reaching it for it everyday for awhile now. It applies foundation much quicker than my other brushes because it has alot more width and density. It also makes my foundation look flawless! Love.
On another note:
Have you guys all seen "The Social Network" yet?
If not, you HAVE to go watch it. I saw it opening night. My friend literally dragged me to watch it, and forced me to go half an hour early to get seats. There were literally ten people in the entire theater including us. However, I have to admit, I LOVED it. It's such an intelligent movie, not what I expected at all. AND, the acting was superb! I know some might find it boring because of the intensive dialogue, but it's brilliant, and I could listen to the banter for hours. The filming was also great. A lot different from the usual movies nowadays. I'm foreseeing some awards...
Happy Saturday!

New "Travel -Sized" Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer: STEAL!
For those of you who have wanted to try out Laura Mercier's famous tinted moisturizer but didn't want to fork out $42 dollars for it, here's a great buy for you =). Sephora is offering a "travel size" version of it for only $19.50! And when I use the word "travel" I mean, it's 1 oz, the size of most full sized foundations on the market. The full size is only 1.5 oz. Do the math, getting the travel size is a MUCH better deal =). Too bad I already own three of the full size ones or I would jump at this deal! There's only two colors available, Nude and Sand, which are the most popular colors, and the ones I personally use. Now's the perfect time to try it if you haven't already!

My Hawaiian Vacation (Photos)
I finally got around to getting the photos of my vacation from my boyfriend's laptop =).
The plane ride to Hawaii was horrible. I have really bad sinuses I guess. My ears were hurting so bad due to the pressure of altitude change =(. I wore "Ear Planes" to control pressure, I took sudafed to open my sinuses, and I chewed gum going up and descending and I STILL had a rough time. My boyfriend, on the other hand, was completely fine. POO. By the time we landed, I was cranky and tired. We arrived at the hotel due to a shuttle that I had booked. It took me alonggg time to book a hotel prior to the trip. I kept looking for good deals, and didn't book until two days before. The hotel I wanted finally lowered priced since it was so close to the date =). I stayed at the Aqua Waikiki Pearl. I was really impressed with the hotel because it was clean, pretty spacious, and the staff was amazing. It was also located only two blocks from the beach. We went there EVERYDAY. People who spend their vacation in Hawaii at the hotel pool are plain weird.
My boyfriend likes to draw faces on his finger and takes photos of his "finger friend" in various scenery. Wack job. Our hotel was also near a place that sells Pineapple soft serve, which I believe isn't sold anywhere else but Disneyland. So good...
I'm on a boat! Parasailing was pretty fun but also a bit boring... Although it did combine my two fears: Heights and large bodies of water.
The beach is gorgeous. Only downside was that I stepped on a sea urchin and it poisoned me. I ended having to soak my feet in vinegar for three hours. My foot came out pickled and it smelled like vinegar for the next day. My boyfriend thought it was the funniest thing in the entire world. Too much information?
Yeah, I'm also the typical tourist. Coconuts, a sarong, and a lei (not pictured).
One of the best things Hawaii has to offer is shaved ice. NO. It is NOT a snow cone. It's the most amazing thing to enter into my life in the form of ice. I dream about it everyday. Pictured above is coconut, mango, and honeydew. The other picture is me on the front of a paddle board while my boyfriend rowed. I may look calm and serene, but I was having a meltdown a lot of the time. Again, I'm scared of large bodies of water. Did I mention a very ginormous sea turtle swam by me and scared the living daylights out of me? I'm informed they don't eat humans, but you never know...
There really are rainbows in Hawaii... I miss it so much =(. Can I be homesick for a place that's not home? I guess I'm vacation sick.
I also finished the last two books of the Hunger Games trilogy while I was there. Hurray for reading on a beach!
Most awesome things about Hawaii:
The beach
Shaved ice
A housekeeper that makes my bed
Coconut syrup for my french toast
Free sake at Morios
Everything (Excluding sea urchins and intense heat)

Haul: More Rock & Republic Cosmetics
Since my last Rock & Republic haul, I've been acquiring some more products from the line here and there.
First, WTH. Both of the pumps look like this when opened. Are they broken?! Where's the straw?! I'm not digging in their for a stupid straw. Anyways, I've been pumping away, and nothing comes out. FAIL.
EDIT: I finally got the illuminizer to pump after about 100 pumps. Still nothing on the primer. I think the pump operates on air suction through the continuous pumping when you first get it. I think the primer's not coming out because of its thick mousse formula.
The colors are very yellow and too dark for me. However, they are very sheer so they should work. The primer is a weird mousse texture and completely throws me off. The illuminizer's texture is nice though. You can use it as a liquid bronzer, mix it with your lighter foundation to get a darker shade, or mix it with any foundation for a nice glow (which is what I did). I'm holding off on trying the primer these because it seems like an overall strange product...
I think I have enough Rock and Republic products for the rest of my life. I'm generally happy with their products. I really don't think you should try the primer, and the eyeshadow palette doesn't seem worth it to me. I'd rather try their single eyeshadows.
For those interested, R&R is having their friends and family sale. They're offering 30% off with the code FF30. Personally, I'd wait for another sample sale at Hautelook or something.
Contrived blushes in : Bedroom, Shameless, and Seduce
I got three more blushes, since they're probably the product I like the most. I now have 11 out of the 12 colors made. The last color I don't have is one I don't want because it's a safety orange color... erggg. Bedroom is a matte peach. This is the color I realllyyy wanted last time but accidentally didn't order. Shameless is a bronzey shimmery color, and Seduce is a plum/brown with shimmer. Shameless can be used as a slight bronzer. These blushes, like all the other ones, are hard for me to use because they're so pigmented and my heavy hand always forgets... Pressed Powder in Satin
Swatches of their pressed powders aren't available, neither is any info on the shades. I really had to take a guess at which one would match me, which makes shopping online difficult. I went with "Satin" and it works! =). I used this to mattify my forehead, nose, and top of my cheeks. I also need a light hand with this because although it's pressed, the brush picks up a lot of powder.Noir Eye Color Trio in Scene 2
I had heard some pretty good things about this eyeshadow palette so I gave it ago. First things first, the compact is SUPER heavy. Sturdy indeed. I would hate to travel with this weapon though. The colors are OK. I probably won't really use the purple. As you can see, the black pan came broken. I'm so sad =(! I wish they handled my packages properly. Even if I clean it up, whenever I open the compact, the powder sticks to the magnet at the top of the palette! Color-wise, The black is a very deep matte black. The purple has an almost blue sheen to it, and the cream/champagne color would make a great inner corner highlight. The overall color schemes of their two palettes are weird... and I'm really disappointed that I won't really want to use this palette since it's broken...Lipglosses in Vacant, Drama Queen, and Runaway
When I got my first two lipglosses, I really didn't like them. However, I found different ways to use them, and they really started to grow on me. Vacant is a nude peach, Drama Queen is a sparkly pink, and Runaway is a nude with glitter. Again, all the colors are sheer. I like Vacant the most. It seems like my favorite formulation of their lipglosses are ones without any shimmer. Vacant is actually looks like my original lipcolor. I wear it ontop of my NYX lipstick in "Honey" (which creates a nude base). I'm basically left with a better, lighter version of my natural lip color =). HURRAY! This is beating my former favorite lipgloss from them, "Muse".Tinted Primer in Sophia and Tinted Illuminizer in Roxanne
